Our story

Preach the Gospel, plant churches, change the world!

The Truro Vineyard began in 1997 as a church plant from Exeter Vineyard and involved a number of people who were living in the Truro area. The original Pastors, called to ministry in the USA, left in 1999. Rob & Ruth Graham arrived in June 2001 to take over as Pastors of the church.

Rob & Ruth met at St. Luke’s College, Exeter, when they were training as teachers. Ruth taught until their daughters arrived and Rob continued teaching in various schools, finally becoming a headteacher of a primary school in Devon.

God moved them out of their ‘comfort zone’ in 1997, by taking them to Metro Christian Fellowship, Kansas City where Rob taught and was on staff at the church. This was an amazing time of growth for the whole family.

God then called them back to the UK, where Rob and Ruth both taught again and ran a Christian Conference Centre, until they moved to Truro to pastor the church.

Ruth currently teaches in a primary school and works with Family Learning in schools in Cornwall.         Rob shares his time between pastoring, teacher training, teaching and storytelling in schools.

They share leadership with a fantastic team of people who are passionate about pursuing God’s purpose for their lives and the church.

In July of 2012, the church relocated to The Terrace at Truro College for its Sunday services. It’s a great venue with lots of opportunity for developing the vision God has given us for reaching out to and impacting Truro.

The next exciting phase of  God’s journey for this church begins in September, when Rob & Ruth Graham step down as Senior Pastors and Ben & Leigh-Ann Tyler take on the role.

They have a clear call from God, an exciting vision and loads of energy.
